Forming Technology

Deep Drawing

Cold forming and high-capacity press technology for complex deep-drawn and stamped parts in series production.

Process

Deep drawing as a core capability since the company was founded

Deep drawing, meaning tensile-compressive forming according to DIN 8584 and the stamping of sheet metal, was not only the origin of our company but remains the absolute core capability and the largest business area of ILA-Langner GmbH & Co. KG to this day.

We mainly manufacture using cold forming processes. In doing so, sheet blanks are formed in one or more successive steps without heating the material beforehand.

For reliable series production and high volumes, we rely on a press line designed for everything from classic forming operations to direct coil processing in a cut-draw-cut process.

13 presses Hydraulic machine park

High-capacity press technology for a wide range of deep-drawing and forming tasks.

10,000 kN Directly from coil

Our largest coil-fed deep-drawing press is designed for efficient large-scale production.

25 t / 1000 mm Maximum coil size

Processing of coils up to 25 tonnes in weight and a maximum width of 1000 mm.

13,000 kN With draw cushion

Our most powerful press with hydraulically movable draw cushion covers demanding drawing operations.

Large-scale Production

Coil processing and press force for stable series production

Especially for high-volume production, some of our presses operate directly from coil. This enables economical workflows, repeatable quality and high process reliability across large batch sizes.

  • Cut-draw-cut processing directly from coil for efficient series production
  • Designed for high volumes and consistently stable processes
  • Suitable for demanding deep-drawn and stamped sheet-metal parts
Equipment Technology

Flexible press capacity for large and small components

Our machine park includes 8 presses with hydraulically movable draw cushions. The most powerful version reaches a closing force of 13,000 kN. The largest clamping area is 2200 x 1600 mm, and the maximum opening width is 1600 mm.

In addition, every press can also be used as an upper-ram press. The area is complemented by a 10,000-kN upper-ram press without draw cushion, a 3,150-kN automatic stamping press and 3 smaller C-frame presses for processing smaller components.

Broadly positioned for series production, large deep-drawn parts and smaller components within one continuous manufacturing environment.
